In depth and visual weather reports.
Informative and interesting videos not available on the radio.
Cons-
Contributes to the slow decline of other modes of media transfer (eg newspaper and radio news etc).
Seeing the newscasters face lends to a greater sense of trust, allowing newscasts to affect opinions and point of view to a larger extent.
The convenience of a televised newscast discourages people from researching news as they have already seen it "on tv".
